RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bell Block Urban Drainage Area Loan 1970, $74,000

RESOLVED that pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of seventy-four thousand dollars ($74,000), authorised to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the sewerage reticulation mains in the Bell Block Urban Drainage Area, the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four six cents in the dollar (.46c) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Bell Block Urban Drainage Area, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Land Purchase Loan 1970, $126,000

“PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and twenty-six thousand ($126,000) authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing two adjoining allotments with frontages to High Street and Charles Street to be used for car parking and other public use, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0755 cents in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty years (30 years), or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 9th day of September 1970.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Cashmere Water Supply Redemption Loan 1970, $25,000

THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Counties Act 1956, and all other powers and authorities it thereunto in this respect enabling, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Cashmere Water Supply Redemption Loan 1970, $25,000 authorised to be raised by the Heathcote County Council under the above-mentioned authorities, for the purpose of enabling the repayment of $25,000 of the maturing portion of the Cashmere Water Supply Loan 1958, by way of redemption loan, the said Heathcote County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.016057 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Heathcote County comprising the whole of the County of Heathcote, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and shall be payable yearly on or about the 17th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Heathcote County Council, held at the Council Chambers, 66 Colombo Street, Christchurch, on 27 August 1970.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Clinton Sewerage Loan 1969

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Clutha County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000), authorised to be raised by the Clutha County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing a sewerage disposal system for Clinton Township, the said Clutha County Council hereby makes a special rate of ten decimal sixty-nine (10.69) cents in the dollar upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Clinton Urban Drainage Area, as constituted by special order made on the 20th day of September 1967 and confirmed on the 1st day of November 1967; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Clutha County Council held on the 2nd day of September 1970.

J. R. McKENZIE TRUST AMENDMENT BILL

An Act to Amend the J. R. McKenzie Trust Act 1947

NOTICE is hereby given that Roy Allan McKenzie of Wellington, chartered accountant, and one of the trustees of the Board of Trustees of the J. R. McKenzie Trust intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives, during the present session of Parliament, the above intituled Bill. The objects of the proposed Bill are to empower the said Board of Trustees to accumulate a portion not exceeding 20 percentum of the net annual income of the trust funds and to treat as capital such dividends received by it which are declared by the company making the same to be paid out of capital reserves and/or profits made on the sale or realisation of capital assets.
