Adding Land to Mount Aspiring National Park

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 7th day of September 1970

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of Mount Aspiring National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered and dealt with by the Mount Aspiring National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby:

(a) Declares the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto to be a Government road, and

(b) Stops the said road.

(b) stops the said road.

Authorising the Construction of a Further Portion of the Christchurch Northern Motorway, and the Christchurch Southern Motorway

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of the motorways severally described in the First and Second Schedules hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

FURTHER PORTION OF THE CHRISTCHURCH NORTHERN MOTORWAY

COMMENCING at a point on the motorway authorised by the Order in Council published in Gazette, 15 March 1962, Volume I, page 424, near the junction of State Highway No. 1 with Marshlands Road in the County of Waimairi and proceeding generally in a southerly direction being located between Main North Road and Marshlands Road within the County of Waimairi and proceeding within the City of Christchurch being located generally to the east of Cranford Street and Madras Street and crossing the Christchurch-Lyttelton railway to its junction with the Christchurch Southern Motorway in the vicinity of Gasson Street.

SECOND SCHEDULE

CHRISTCHURCH SOUTHERN MOTORWAY

COMMENCING at its junction with the Christchurch Northern Motorway in the vicinity of Gasson Street in the City of Christchurch and proceeding generally in a westerly direction in the vicinity of Wordsworth, Burke, and Jerrold Streets,
