Maori Land Declared to be a Water Area

PURSUANT to section 371A of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice that the land described in the Schedule hereto is declared to be a water area for the purposes of section 371A of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land described as follows:

A. R. P. Being
29,085 2 32 Pouakani No. 2, situated in Block XVI, Wharepapa Survey District, Block XIII, Patatere Survey District, Blocks IV, VII, XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Ranginui Survey District, and Blocks I, II, V, VI, IX, and XIII, Whakamaru Survey District. Amalgamation order dated 19 December 1969.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place, Marae, recreation ground, and burial ground for the common use and benefit of members of the Ngati Whaoa, Ngati Tahu, and Ngatiwhakaue tribes and the Maori people generally.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block X, Paeroa Survey District, and described as follows:

Cancelling Maori Reservation

WHEREAS by notice dated 28 April 1970, and published in Gazette, 7 May 1970, No. 27, p. 806, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto was set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place, Marae, recreation ground, and burial ground for the common use and benefit of members of the Ngati Whaoa, Ngati Tahu, and Ngatiwhakaue tribes and the Maori people generally.

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, such reservation is hereby cancelled.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
