β¨ Import Regulations, Noxious Weeds, Royal Society Fellows, Valuation Rolls, Industry Protection
Pursuant to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:
1.(a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 32) 1970.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, is hereby withdrawn.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Borough of Pukekohe
(Notice No. Ag. 10673)
Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order made by the Pukekohe Borough Council on the 15th day of July 1970 is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
"THAT, pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the plants listed in the Schedule hereto are declared to be noxious weeds within the Borough of Pukekohe:
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris and B. darwinii).
Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and R. laciniatus).
Californian, Canadian or Creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and C. monogyna).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. R. rubiginosa).
Thorn apple or Jimson weed (Datura stramonium).
Variegated or milk thistle (Silybum marianum).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).
Welted thistle (Carduus crispus).
Winged thistle (Cardus tenuiflorus and C. pycnocephalus).
Woolly nightshade (Solanum auriculatum)."

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Rangitikei
(Notice No. Ag. 10674)
Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order made by the Rangitikei County Council on the 6th day of August 1970 is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
"THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order, that Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum) is a noxious weed within the County of Rangitikei."
