Approval of Indicator to Show When Device to Alter Axle Weights is Being Operated

PURSUANT to regulation 12 (1) (b) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves for use in accordance with the aforesaid regulation an indicator of the type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
A lamp incorporating an electric bulb the power of which shall be not less than 15 watts and not more than 36 watts. The lamp shall be so designed and located that, when illuminated it displays a green light visible through an angle of at least 80 degrees forward and 80 degrees backward of a horizontal line passing through the lamp and at right angles to the longitudinal centre line of the vehicle. The lamp shall be illuminated whenever the spring-loaded control to reduce the weight on the unpowered axle is operated.

Approval of Brake Testing Instrument

PURSUANT to subclause (5) of regulation 42 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulation, the brake testing instrument of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

Notice of Varied Hours for Sale of Liquor at the Onetangi Hotel, Waiheke Island

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as inserted by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act (No. 2) 1967, I, Ian James Donald MacKay, Acting Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee on 15 May 1970, made an order fixing hours other than the usual hours for opening and closing the Onetangi Hotel, Waiheke Island, for sale of liquor to the public for the period from the 1st day of April to the 30th day of September in each year:
Opening 9 a.m.) from Monday to Thursday
Closing 8 p.m.) inclusive; and
Opening 11 a.m.) Friday to Saturday
Closing 10 p.m.) inclusive; and
for the period from the 1st day of October to the 31st day of March in each year:
Opening 11 a.m.) Monday to Saturday
Closing 10 p.m.) inclusive.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as inserted by section 3 of the Sale of Liquor Act (No. 2) 1967, I, Ian James Donald MacKay, Acting Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Marlborough Licensing Committee on 13 August 1970, made an order fixing hours other than the usual hours for opening and closing the Oxley Hotel, Picton, for sale of liquor to the public, namely, that such hotel premises be authorised to be open between the hours of 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., Mondays to Saturdays inclusive.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as inserted by section 3 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act (No. 2) 1967, I, Ian James Donald MacKay, Acting Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Dunedin Licensing Committee on 23 June 1970, made an order fixing hours other than the usual hours for opening and closing the Caledonian Tavern, Dunedin, for sale of liquor to the public, namely, that such tavern premises be authorised to be open between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, up to and inclusive of 30 June 1971.

Hop Marketing Committee Election (Notice No. Ag. 10670)

PURSUANT to clause 11 of the Schedule to the Hop Marketing Regulations 1939, notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of five producers' representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places, viz, Department of Agriculture, Head Office, Wellington, and at Nelson; also at the following post offices, viz, Motueka, Upper Moutere, Wakefield, and Nelson.

The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of 7 days from 31 August 1970.

Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices or from the Returning Officer, Department of Agriculture, Nelson. Nominations must be in the hands of the Returning Officer not later than noon on 9 September 1970.

  1. (i) This notice may be cited as the Milk Treatment Allowances Notice 1969, Amendment No. 1.
    (ii) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1970.
    (iii) This notice is given after consultation with the Minister of Agriculture.
    (iv) This notice amends the Milk Treatment Allowances Notice 1969* (hereinafter referred to as "the principal notice").
