SOUTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Orari-Waihi-Temuka Redemption Loan No. 5, 1969-$24,200
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on the said loan of $24,200, the South Canterbury
Catchment Board hereby makes a rate of 0.0324c in the dollar
on lands classed A, 0.0227c on lands classed B, 0.0151c on
lands classed C, 0.0076c on lands Classed D, 0.0032c on lands
classed E, and 0.0011c on lands classed F upon the rateable
capital value of all rateable property in the Orari-Waihi-Temuka
Rating District; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of
20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Electricity Redemption Loan 1969-$83,400
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, the Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves as
follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the Electricity Redemption Loan 1969-$83,400, authorised to
be raised by the Mackenzie County Council under the abovementioned
Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that
portion of the Electricity Supply Loan 1959, of $150,000, which
matures on 15 February 1970, the said Mackenzie County
Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal 41064 cents in
the dollar upon the capital value of all rateable property in
the Mackenzie County Electricity Supply District; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Mackenzie County Council held on 4 December 1969.

CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957
NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF SCHEME
UNDER the will of William Charles Stewart, who died in 1899,
land was left to "the Borough of Tauranga" with provision for
the income to "be devoted to the relief of destitute persons of
the aforesaid Borough". The Tauranga City Council has prepared
a scheme, under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957,
whereby:
(a) Trust income now held or to be received in future may
be applied for the relief of poverty in the City.
(b) Subject to (a), the trust assets and income may be used
for the provision of "houses" (as defined) in the City
for aged and needy persons or to assist them to acquire
or furnish "houses" therein.
Application for approval of the scheme has been filed in
the Supreme Court office at Auckland. The date proposed for
the hearing of the application by the Court is 6 March 1970.
The application, scheme, and report of the Attorney-General
thereon are open for inspection by the public, without any fee
or charge. Any person desiring to oppose the scheme is required
to give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar
of the Supreme Court at Auckland, to the Tauranga City
Council, and to the Attorney-General (care of Crown Law
Office, Wellington) not less than 7 clear days before 6 March
1970.

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the
Opotiki Borough, taken on the 31st day of January 1970, on
the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan
of $5,500 to be known as the Reserve Grandstand Loan 1969,
for the purpose of completing the erection of a grandstand on
the reserve, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal
was ..... . ..... 149
The number of votes recorded against the proposal
was ..... . ..... 140
The number of informal votes was ..... . ..... 4
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing)
subscription $10 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
$5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
