Assignment of Foreshore Licence for Slipway in Floating Basin, Westport Harbour
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Secretary for Marine hereby gives notice that the licence granted to Tasman Te Rangi Smith and George Cordner on 4 February 1959 to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of the sea in the Floating Basin, Westport Harbour, as a site for a slipway is hereby assigned to Kenneth Whitburne Herring.

Revision of District Valuation Rolls
PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-General has revised, as at 1 February 1970, the district valuation rolls for the districts named in the following Schedule.
SCHEDULE
Boroughs and Cities: Arrowtown, Otorohanga, Queenstown, Te Kuiti, Upper Hutt, New Plymouth.
Counties: Cook, Hobson, Mackenzie, Piako, Rodney, Taupo, Waihemo, Waitomo.
Independent Town Districts: Manunui.

Dangerous Goods Act 1957—Approval of Modification of Certain Petrol Pumps by Fitting Thereto of Henry Coin Operated Petrol Meter
PURSUANT to section 26 of the Dangerous Goods Act 1957, the chief inspector notifies his approval, subject to the conditions set out hereunder, to the modification of the following types of pump, that is to say, the Avery Hardoll Series 3000 and 4000, Beck Model M70, and Gilbert and Barker Model T.160A by the incorporation and addition of the Henry Coin Operated Petrol Meter for unattended self-service delivery of motor spirit from underground tanks for the purpose of retail sale.
CONDITIONS

  1. The pump shall be isolated not less than 5 ft from any road or public footpath and shall, together with the area where vehicles may stand to be refuelled from it, be situated not less than 10 ft from any building:
    Provided, however, that if an inspector is satisfied that the wall of any building is a sufficient screen wall he may approve the pump and refuelling area being less than 10 ft from the building.
  2. The pump shall be so situated, or such provision shall be made, that any motor spirit leaking from the pump or spilt during its operation will not flow towards any building or create a public hazard.
  3. The pump, and the coin and control mechanism, together with any necessary notices giving instructions or warnings relating to the use of the pump, and the whole of the area where vehicles may stand for refuelling, shall be adequately illuminated at any time when the pump may be operated.

    Decisions under the Sales Tax Act 1932/33—Notice No. 52
    DECISIONS in interpretation of the Sales Tax Act, notified in the supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of 21 December 1961, No. 83, and from time to time amended, are hereby further amended as follows:
    Minister's decision No. 5 is amended by deleting the words "through" and "shops" in the fifth and sixth lines of the first paragraph. The decision now reads:
    “...and with respect to which the Collector is satisfied that such goods have been bonafide sold retail by such persons, firms, or companies, the sale value…”
