ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby
given that the One Tree Hill Borough Council proposes under
the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a storm
water drainage scheme, and notice is hereby further given that
a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the
offices of the One Tree Hill Borough Council, 272 Manukau
Road, One Tree Hill, Auckland, and is open for public inspection,
without fee, by all persons during ordinary business hours.
Any person affected by the execution of the said works or
the taking of the said land should, if he has any objection to
the execution of the said works, or to the taking of the said
land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation,
send his written objection within 40 days from the
publication of this notice to the One Tree Hill Borough Council,
addressed to the Town Clerk, P.O. Box 26-013, Auckland. And
notice is further given that if any objection is made as aforesaid
a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the
objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised
of the time and place of that hearing.

SCHEDULE

The land required to be taken is situated on Burrett Avenue,
One Tree Hill, and the owner is recorded in the Land Transfer
Office records at Auckland as C. W. Ligar. The land comprises
one acre one rood three perches, being part of Allotment 1,
Section 17, Suburbs of Auckland, and shown marked “water reserve”
on Deposited Plans 19321, 18648, 31989, in the North Auckland Land Registry.

KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR STREET

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Kaiapoi
Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to take the land described in the Schedule
hereto for Street; and notice is hereby further given that the
plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the public
office of the Kaiapoi Borough Council, High Street, Kaiapoi,
and is there open for inspection to all persons during ordinary
office hours.

All persons affected should, if they have any objections to
the taking of the said land not being objection to the amount
or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing, and
send such written objection within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, namely, 8 August 1970, to the Town
Clerk, at the Council Chambers, High Street, Kaiapoi; and if
any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public
hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and
place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land situated in the Borough of Kaiapoi
containing one and eight-tenth perches (0A. OR. 1.8P.), more or
less, being Lot 5, Deposited Plan 27596, part Rural Section
321, being an area of land adjoining Hodgson Avenue, Kaiapoi,
comprised in Deeds 2c/S 733 the owner of which is unknown.

KAITAIA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

I, Earle Lewis Worke Reid, Town Clerk of Kaitaia, do hereby
certify that the following resolutions were passed by the council
at a meeting held on 20 July 1970:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the Sewerage Extension Loan No. 2, 1970—$8,000, authorised
to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough Council under the Local
Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purposes of providing sewerage
in lower Rongopai Place, the Council hereby makes
a special rate of eight hundredths of a cent (0.08 cents) in the
dollar upon all rateable property in the borough (upon the
basis of unimproved values), and also hereby resolves that
the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate and be
payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the Water Reticulation Improvement and Depot Loan 1970,
$18,000, authorised to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough Council
under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the
purposes of extending and improving the water reticulation and
improving the works depot, the council hereby makes a special
rate of ten hundredths of a cent (0.10 cents) in the dollar upon
all the rateable property in the borough (upon the basis of
unimproved values), and also hereby resolves that the special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate and payable on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

CITY OF MANUKAU

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 2, 1970—$58,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $58,000, authorised to be raised by the Manukau City
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
repaying on maturity that portion of the Roads Improvement
Loan 1955 of $300,000, which matures on 1 September 1970
within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought seven
two cents (.0072) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved
value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau,
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, Town Clerk of the Manukau City Council,
hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a
meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 30th day of
July 1970.

HUNTLY BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of $160,000, authorised to be raised by the Huntly
Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose
of meeting the borough’s share of providing a flood
protection scheme in accordance with plans drawn up by the
Waikato Valley Authority, the said Huntly Borough Council
hereby makes the following special rates upon the rateable
value of all the property of the whole of the Borough of
Huntly, and that the special rates shall be annual-recurring
rates during the currency of the loan, and be payable on the
1st day of September in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

Special Rates

The land in the whole of the borough has been classified
under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and
the Waikato Valley Authority Act 1956.

On the rateable value of all lands that have been classified
as Class A; 2.35c in the dollar.

On the rateable value of all lands that have been classified
as Class B; 1.56c in the dollar.

On the rateable value of all lands that have been classified
as Class C; 0.78c in the dollar.

On the rateable value of all lands that have been classified
as Class D; 0.40c in the dollar.
