Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of Road at Lichfield

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, the Right Hon. Sir Herbert Richard Churton Wild, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Matamata County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

0 1 3.8 Part railway land in part Mangarautawhiri Block, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 6A, folio 904, South Auckland Registry.

Situated in Block XV, Patetere North Survey District, Matamata County (S.O. 44632).

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 23079 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 24th day of July 1970.

(a) declares the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto to be a Government road, and

(b) stops the said road
