County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of developing the grounds at the Parakai Domain, the said

Electricity Loan 1970 of $1,000,000
THE following resolutions were duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 6th day of July 1970.
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“‘That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of one million dollars ($1,000,000) to be known as
Electricity Loan 1970 of $1,000,000, authorised to be raised
by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of extending and improving the Wellington
City electricity distribution system, the Wellington City Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six seven of a
cent (.067c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the
whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April
in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a
period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.’”
Renewal Loan No. 2, 1970 of $95,200
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“‘That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of ninety-five thousand two hundred dollars
($95,200) to be known as Renewal Loan No. 2, 1970 of
$95,200, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying on maturity those portions of the Electricity Loan
1961 of $828,000 and the Renewal Loan 1964 of $1,097,400
which mature on 1 August 1970, the Wellington City Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought nine of
a cent (.009c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the
whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special

Water Supply Improvement Supplementary Loan 1970
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Dannevirke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the annual charges
on a loan of $22,000.00, authorised to be raised by the Danne-
virke Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of completing the purpose for which the Water Supply
Improvement Loan 1967, of $221,000.00 was sanctioned, the
said Dannevirke Borough Council hereby makes a special rate
of 0.059c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable
property in the Borough of Dannevirke; and that the said
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”

loan of $40,000 authorised to be raised by the Golden Bay
Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of erecting a line to Totaranui and reticulation exten-
sions and alterations to supply in Golden Bay, the said Golden
Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of
decimal nought four four (.044) cents in the dollar upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Golden Bay
Electric Power Board District, and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of
September in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and all other powers in that
behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby
resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of $6,270 known as the Duck Creek Works
Redemption Loan No. 2, 1970, authorised to be raised by the
Southland Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Acts,
for the purpose of repaying the outstanding balance of the
Duck Creek Works Loan 1956, 2nd Issue of $10,000, which
matures on 1 August 1970, the said Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to a classifi-
cation made for the purposes of such rate, of the lands within
that part of the Southland Catchment District known as the
Duck Creek Drainage Rating District as defined in the South-
land Catchment Board Empowering Act 1953, such special rate
being as follows:
Twenty decimal four cents ($0.204) per acre on lands
classified as Class A;
