RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 24th day of June 1970.

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and fifteen thousand eight hundred dollars ($115,800) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 65, 1970, $115,800, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity portion of the Works Depot Loan 1953, $600,000, 3rd Issue of $160,000, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought three one two (.0312) of 1c in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of sixty-one thousand dollars ($61,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 64, 1970, $61,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity portion of the Works Loan 1957, $1,400,000, eighth issue of $240,000, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought two five seven (.0257) of 1c in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CITY OF MANUKAU

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridge Court Pensioner Housing—Supplementary Loan 1970, $17,400

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $17,400 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Bridge Court Pensioner Housing Loan 1968 of $184,100 was sanctioned within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought nought eight cents (.0008c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, Town Clerk of the Manukau City Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 25th day of June 1970.

CITY OF MANUKAU

Water Reticulation Loan 1970, $250,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $250,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing a new trunk main and upgrading existing installations within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one five four cents (.0154c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, Town Clerk of the Manukau City Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 25th day of June 1970.

TAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

Water Supply Additional Loan 1970, $45,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tawa Borough Council has resolved as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $45,000 authorised to be raised by the Tawa Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of meeting the increased cost of providing an additional reservoir, pipeline, and fittings and work incidental thereto, the said Tawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.047 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Tawa; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of April and the 15th day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959 and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Papatoetoe City Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, a uniform consolidated special rate of one point two eight five nought seven cents (1.28507) in the dollar ($) on all rateable property within the City of Papatoetoe be and the same is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purposes of paying the annual charges plus 10 percent
