PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Ashburton County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that piece of road containing 1 rood 26.4 perches situated in Block I, Coldstream Survey District, Canterbury R.D., adjoining or passing through part Lot 2, D.P. 8841, Lot 5, D.P. 1757, and part Section 9, Coldstream Settlement; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 24192 (S.O. 11029) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

The Westland Catchment District Order 1970

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 15th day of June 1970
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967 and the Local Government Commission Act 1967, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


O R D E R

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the Westland Catchment District Order 1970.

  2. Extension of Westland Catchment District—The area described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said area”) shall be included in the Westland Catchment District.

  3. Interim representation of the said area on the Westland Catchment Board—For the purposes of representation on the Westland Catchment Board until the next triennial general election of members thereof, the member representing the district of Inangahua County shall also represent the said area.


SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, containing 1,170 square miles, more or less, and bounded as follows: commencing at a point situated in Block II, Taupo Survey District, approximately 90 chains north-west of Trig. W and being the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of the Westland Catchment District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1965, page 1323, with the south-western boundary of the Nelson Catchment District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1943, page 974, and proceeding south-easterly generally along the said Nelson Catchment District boundary to its intersection in Block XIV, Motupiko Survey District, with the north-western boundary of the Marlborough Catchment District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1955, page 1429, thence generally south-westerly along the north-western boundary of the said Marlborough Catchment District to Trig. Station Z (Belvedere Peak) being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Waimea County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, page 1660, thence generally south-westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of the said Waimea County passing through Mount Humboldt, Mount Enid, Faerie Queen and Mount Cann to a point 1 mile west of the said Mount Cann; thence generally northerly along the eastern boundary of the Westland Catchment District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1966, page 1302, and north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the Westland Catchment District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1965, page 1323, to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Neil Construction Ltd. to reclaim from the Pakuranga Stream an area of 3 acres and 15 perches, more or less, as shown edged red on plan M.D. 13742 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Exempting Lands in the South Auckland Land District From the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, the Right Hon. Sir Herbert Richard Churton Wild, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the lands described in the Schedule hereto from the Operation of Part III of the said Act.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—RAGLAN COUNTY
Lot 59, D.P. 17389, being part Allotment 79, Pepepe Parish, situated in Block XIV, Rangiriri Survey District: area, 1 rood 14.7 perches, more or less. Excepting thereout all veins, seams, and beds of coal, fireclay, and all minerals contained in certificate of title, Volume 768, folio 91.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government this 5th day of May 1970.
