Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 22) 1970
PURSUANT to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 22) 1970.
(b) This notice shall come into force on 1 July 1970. -
Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notices shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

Consent to the Proclamation of Road Below Mean High Water Mark
THE Minister of Marine hereby consents, pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, to the proclamation of the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land situate in the North Auckland Land District containing one acre two roods eleven decimal six perches (1 a. 2 r. 11.6 p.) more or less, being part of Parua Bay, situate in Block XV, Whangarei Survey District, as the same in more particularly shown coloured yellow on S.O. Plan 45998.

Officer Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations
PURSUANT to section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand has been pleased to authorise the officer in the service of the Crown, being the holder for the time being of the office of Administration Officer (Housing), Department of Maori and Island Affairs, Auckland, to take and receive statutory declarations under the said Act.

Notice Under Section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940
PURSUANT to section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940, the Minister of Finance hereby prescribes as follows:
(a) The thirty-first investment period during which investments by way of deposits in investment accounts may be made shall be the period of 1 year commencing on the 1st day of July 1970 and ending on the 30th day of June 1971;
(b) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, the rate of interest to be paid on such investments made during such investment period shall be 3Β½ percent per annum;
(c) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, moneys invested as aforesaid during such investment period shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1973, provided that where interest is not withdrawn by the investor in accordance with section 8 (2) of the said Act and is added to and becomes part of the principal moneys of the investor under section 8 (3) of the said Act, the amount of such interest, together with any interest thereon, shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1972.
