Declaring Land Taken for Road in Block IX, Wakanui Survey District, Ashburton County

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road from and after the 29th day of June 1970.

Licensing Stewart Island Fishermen’s Co-operative Ltd. to Erect and Use Electric Lines

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby licenses Stewart Island Fishermen’s Co-operative Ltd., subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

1. This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations.

2. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), and (d) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, and shall be an alternating current system.

3. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the expiration of a period of 21 years from the date hereof or until electricity is available from an electric power board or other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE

ELECTRIC lines commencing from the licensee’s generator and proceeding:

(a) In an easterly direction generally across a road and Halfmoon Bay Harbour to a fish packing shed;

(b) In a south-westerly direction thence in a south-easterly direction generally following the foreshore supplying power for street lighting in Halfmoon Bay;

(c) In a south-westerly direction thence in a south-easterly direction generally following the foreshore supplying electricity to a slipway in Halfmoon Bay.

All being situated in Block 1, Paterson Survey District, in the County of Stewart Island, as shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 780 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department in Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby licenses Roderick Robson, chartered accountant, of Wanganui, the trustee in the estate of Charles Cameron Baldwin, sheep farmer of Whangaehu, subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITION

1. This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations.

2. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, and shall be an alternating current system.

3. The licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1991, or until electricity is available from an electric power board or other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE

ELECTRIC lines commencing from the licensee’s generator and proceeding in a westerly direction underground to cross the Ruatangata Road and thence to a cottage.

All being situated in Block 9, Whangaehu Survey District, in the County of Rangitikei, as shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 804 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

The Traffic (Lake County) Notice No. 1, 1970

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Lake County) Notice No. 1, 1970.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purpose of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
