Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 17) 1970

Pursuant to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 17) 1970.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on 1 July 1970.

  2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notices shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

The Motor Launch (Port Waikato) Notice 1970, Raglan
County Council

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the
Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Port
    Waikato) Notice 1970.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its
    publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force until
    further notice.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule
    hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations
    1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the
    First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL the waters of the Waikato River within 200 yds of high-water mark, bounded by parallel lines 100 yds apart extending in a 020Β° (true) direction, the eastern boundary commencing at a point on high-water mark bearing 266Β° (true) and 46 chains from the western landward end of the Port Waikato wharf.

SECOND SCHEDULE

THE access lane shall be marked as follows:

  1. Two 8-ft transit posts, with a distance of not less than
    10 ft or more than 20 ft between and painted with 12-in. bright
    orange and black bands, shall be erected on land in line with
    each side of the access lane, the first post being sited on high-water mark on the river margin at normal river level.

  2. On each side of the transit posts, sited on high-water mark
    on the river margin at normal river level, there shall be fastened, in line with the sides of the access lane, a notice
    board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, painted bright
    orange with black lettering in the following form:

"NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962

Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
BATHERS KEEP OUT".

  1. Marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped,
    painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be
    moored 50 yds apart and in line with each set of transit posts,
    the first buoy being 50 yds from the water's edge.

  2. Marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped,
    painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be
    moored 200 yds from the river margin at normal river level
    and in line with each set of transit posts.

Officers Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

Pursuant to section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957,
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government has been
pleased to authorise the officer in the service of the Crown
being the holder for the time being of the office of Senior
Clerk, State Advances Corporation, Wellington, to take and
receive statutory declarations under the said Act.
