Registration Office of the Mangonui, Hokianga, and Bay of Islands Registration District (Notice No. Ag. 10551)


PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 70 of the Animals Act 1967 and to a delegation from the Director-General of Agriculture under section 10 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the said section, the Director, Animal Health Division of the Department of Agriculture, hereby appoints the City of Whangarei in lieu of the Borough of Kaikohe as the place at which the Registration Office for Mangonui, Hokianga, and Bay of Islands Brand Registration Districts shall, as from the date hereof, be situated.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds under the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the County of Kaikoura (Notice No. Ag. 10552)


PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order, made by the Kaikoura County Council on the 19th day of December 1969, is hereby published.


SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Kaikoura County Council hereby declares that, from and including the 1st day of December 1969, the following weeds shall be declared noxious weeds within the district of the County of Kaikoura:

Barberry (Berberis darwinii).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum).
Burdock (Arctium, any species).
Californian thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Common broom (Cytisus Scoparius).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna).
Heath (Erica lusitanica and Erica arborea).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Montpelier broom (Cytisus monspessulanus).
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).
Pennisetum (Pennisetum macrourum).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
