Traffic Speed Limit Notices




  1. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby
    declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the
    purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  2. The notice under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations
    1956*, dated the 21st day of September 1964†, which relates
    to Turakina, in Rangitikei County, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Rangitikei County, at Turakina:
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Ply-
mouth) (from a point 16 chains measured southerly generally
along the said State highway from Turakina Beach Road to
a point 22 chains measured south-easterly generally along the
said State highway from Wanganui Road).
Wanganui Road (from a point 5 chains measured easterly
generally along Wanganui Road from the No. 3 State High-
way (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to the said
State highway).
Dated at Wellington this 6th day of May 1970.

The Traffic (Hamilton City) Notice No. 1, 1970

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hamilton City)
    Notice No. 1, 1970.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are
    hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
    section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
    hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes
    of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are
    hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas
    for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations
    1956*.
  5. The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962
    and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated
    the 16th day of September 1969†, which relates to Hamilton
    City and Waikato County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hamilton City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the north-
western boundary of Hamilton City to Vardon Road and from
Mangaonua Stream to Riverlea Road and from a point
3 chains measured southerly generally along the said highway
from Anglesea Street to a point 2 chains measured westerly
generally along the said highway from Johnsvew Terrace).
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New
Plymouth) (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff)
to a point 3 chains measured northerly generally along the
said highway from Lorne Street and from the southern
boundary of Hamilton City to a point 5 chains measured
south-easterly generally along the said highway from Tomin
Road).
No. 23 State Highway (Hamilton-Raglan) (from the
western boundary of Hamilton City to a point 9 chains
measured south-westerly generally along the said State high-
way from Poaka Avenue).
No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton-Kopu) (from the eastern
boundary of Hamilton City to a point 7 chains measured
north-easterly generally along the said State highway from
Berkley Avenue).
Avalon Drive (from the northern boundary of Hamilton
City to Rotokauri Road).
Bryant Road (from Sandwich Road to a point 20 chains
measured south-westerly generally along Bryant Road from
Sandwich Road).
Collins Road (from a point 1 chain measured south-
westerly generally along the said road from Prisk Street to
the south-western boundary of Hamilton City).
