PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Taneatua Domain Board, as published in Gazette, 1966, p. 600.

Revocation of Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Hamilton City Council to control and manage the reserve as a site for a municipal depot described in the Schedule hereto.

Revocation of Appointment of Bluff Borough Council as the Bluff Domain Board

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Bluff Borough Council as the Bluff Domain Board, as published in Gazette, 28 September 1961, Volume III, page 1485.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—BLUFF BOROUGH

SECTION 40, and Lot 37, D.P. 15, being part Section 4 and also Lot 3, D.P. 3368, being part Section 3, Block I, Campbelltown Hundred: area, 213 acres and 12.4 perches, more or less. Part contained in certificate of title, Volume 149, folio 40.

Appointment of Queen’s Counsel

His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and with the concurrence of the Chief Justice of New Zealand, has been pleased to appoint Laurence Henry Southwick, Esq., of Auckland, Barrister to be Queen’s Counsel.

Appointment of Chairman of the Crimes Compensation Tribunal

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1963, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Raymond Douglas Jamieson, Esq. of Wellington, Stipendiary Magistrate, to be Chairman of the Crimes Compensation Tribunal.

The Napier High School Board of Governors Notice 1970

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Napier High School Board of Governors Notice 1970.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1970.

  1. The constitution of the Napier High School Board of Governors is hereby varied so that the Board shall after the commencement of this notice be constituted as follows:

(a) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the Napier Boys’ High School;

(b) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the Napier Girls’ High School, of whom at least one shall be a woman;

(c) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the Colenso High School;

(d) One member elected by the parents of the pupils attending the Taradale High School;

(e) Two members elected by the associations of employers in local industry;

(f) Two members elected by the associations of employees in local industry;

(g) One member appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Education Board;

(h) One member appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Incorporated).

The Pakuranga Secondary Schools Board of Governors Notice 1970

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Pakuranga Secondary Schools Board of Governors Notice 1970.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1970.

  1. The Board of Governors of Pakuranga College and Edgewater College shall be known as the Pakuranga Secondary Schools Board and shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;

(b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Pakuranga College;

(c) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Edgewater College;

(d) Two members to be co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.

  1. This notice is in substitution for the Pakuranga College Board of Governors Order 1961*.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land in the City of Manukau

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, as from the 11th day of May 1970.
