Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0351c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Onehunga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly over a period of 8 years and 10 years for Issue No. 1, of $14,800, and Issue No. 2, of $43,200, respectively, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was passed by the Onehunga Borough Council at a meeting held on Monday, 20 April 1970.

DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) authorised to be raised by the Devonport Borough Council, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purposes of building and equipping bathing sheds and public conveniences and extending the municipal offices, the said Devonport Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two eight cents (.028c) in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Devonport; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 28th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of not more than 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

A. C. Baths Development Loan No. 2, 1970, $44,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authority Loans Act 1956, the Taupo Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of forty-four thousand dollars, authorised to be raised by the Taupo Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the cost of Stage II development of the A.C. Baths, the said Taupo Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three nine one cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taupo, comprising the whole of the Borough of Taupo; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly, on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan No. 1, 1970, of $85,700

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $85,700 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity portions of the Sewer and Water Reticulation Extension Loan 1952 and the Sewerage Loan 1960 maturing on 1 May 1970 and 1 June 1970, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.034c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the City of Gisborne; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Abattoir Improvement Loan 1970

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dannevirke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the annual charges on a loan of $11,000, authorised to be raised by the Dannevirke Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing improvement to the Dannevirke abattoir, the said Dannevirke Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.032c in the $ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Dannevirke; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electrical Reticulation Loan No. 3, 1970—$418,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four hundred and eighteen thousand dollars ($418,000) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the city’s electrical reticulation system, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one one seven (.117) of a cent (c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on dates as shall from time to time be determined in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF INTAKE POINT OF WATER RACE

IAN Alexander Mann, of Kokonga, farmer, hereby gives notice that he has applied for a change of point of intake and course of a water race, held by the applicant under No. 5744 (Naseby), the new point of intake commencing in the Kyeburn River, at a point approximately 150 yd downstream from Clunies Road; thence pumped in a easterly direction through Section 22, Block VII, Swinburn District, across Highway 87 into Section 11, Block VII, Swinburn District, both sections being owned by the applicant.

The application and all objections thereto will be heard on Tuesday, the 12th day of May 1970, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s Court at Cromwell; and all objections must be filed in the Registrar’s office and notified to the applicants or their solicitors at least 3 days before the time so appointed.
