HAWKESBURY PEST DESTRUCTION BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1970—$12,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawkesbury Pest Destruction Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $12,000, authorised to be raised by the Hawkesbury Pest Destruction Board under the above-mentioned Act for providing staff housing, the said Hawkesbury Pest Destruction Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.014021c per acre on all rateable property in the Hawkesbury Pest Destruction Board District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BRUCE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1970—$20,000

PURSUANT to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bruce County Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Bruce County Council under the Rural Housing Act 1939 for the purpose of making advances to farmers, the Council hereby makes a special rate of .0044c in the dollar upon all rateable property within the whole of the County of Bruce; and that the rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every half-year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF MOUNT ROSKILL

SPECIAL ORDER—CONSOLIDATION OF SPECIAL RATES

Notice is hereby given that the following resolution, intended to operate as a special order, was passed at a special meeting of the Mount Roskill Borough Council, convened for that purpose and held on the 3rd day of March 1970, and was confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Mount Roskill Borough Council, held in the Municipal Chambers, Three Kings, Mount Roskill, at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 7 April 1970.

Resolution:

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, to make a uniform consolidated special rate of one decimal two four five (1.245) cents in the dollar ($) on all rateable property within the Borough of Mount Roskill; and the same is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges plus ten percent (10%) thereof, payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates.

And the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby further resolves that the consolidated special rate shall be payable in one sum on the 1st day of April in each year at the Council Chambers, corner Three Kings and Mount Albert Roads, Mount Roskill, to George Walter Stephenson; or at such other place, or to such other person for the time being authorised by Council.

Staff Housing Loan 1969—$16,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolved as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of $16,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of financing the provision of staff housing, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one two (.012) cents in the dollar upon the rateable value, on the basis of unimproved value, of all the rateable property in the whole County of Bay of Islands, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Styx Riding Works Loan 1969—$7,500

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waimairi County Council, held on 16 April 1970:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $7,500 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of upgrading and sealing Turners Road from Spencerville Road for a distance of 39 chains, the Waimairi County Council makes a special rate of 0.01822c (cents) in the $ (dollar) upon the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the Styx Riding of the county; and that the special rate shall be an annually-recurring charge during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $11,300 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of upgrading and sealing Hawkins Road from Prestons Road to Radcliffe Road, the Waimairi County Council makes a special rate of 0.02742c (cents) in the $ (dollar) upon the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the Styx Riding of the county and that the special rate shall be an annually-recurring charge during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
