OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR STREET WIDENING
(COLLEGE STREET)
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and in
the matter of The Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments,
notice is hereby given that the Oamaru Borough Council pro-
poses, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to
execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of the
public street known as College Street; and, for the purposes of
such public work, the parcels of land described in the Schedule
hereto are required to be taken for street. And notice is hereby
further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken
is deposited in the public office of the Oamaru Borough
Council, situated in Thames Street, and is open for inspection,
without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said lands, must state their objections, in writing,
and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of
this notice, namely, the 9th day of April 1970, to the Town
Clerk at the Council Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Development Redemption Loan (C) 1969, of $6,400
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Henderson Borough Council held on the 7th day of April 1970:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $6,400 authorised to be raised by the Henderson
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Develop-
ment Loan 1958, of $100,000, which matures on the 22nd day
of March 1970, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal nought one eight cents in the
dollar (.018c in the $) on the rateable unimproved value of
all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson; that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of June in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off; and that such special rate is hereby permanently appro-
priated and pledged as security for the purpose of securing the
said loan of $6,400 and interest thereon at a rate not exceeding
five and three-quarters percent (5¾%) per annum.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Civic Development Loan 1970, of $230,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 6th day of April 1970:
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of two hundred and thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) to
be known as Civic Development Loan 1970, of $230,000,
authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing
property for civic development, the Wellington City Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one two of a
cent (.012c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the
whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period
of thirty-five (35) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
loans of $195,000, $201,000, and $225,000 authorised to be
raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board for the purpose of
repaying those portions of Sewerage Loan No. 1, 1955, of
$1,000,000 and Sewerage Loan (Treatment Works) No. 1,
1957, of $2,100,000, which matured on 1 September 1969, and
1 December 1969, and which matures on 1 May 1970 respec-
tively, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes
special rates of $0.00002709, $0.00002778, and $0.000031099 in
the dollar respectively upon the capital rateable value of all
rateable property within that part of the Christchurch Drainage
District described in Schedule C and in Schedule B (as altered
from time to time in terms of section 5 (f) of the Christchurch
District Drainage Amendment Act 1922 and section 60 (6) of
the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951) to a resolution
of the Board dated the 17th day of April 1923, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, of the 26th day of April
1923; and that the special rates shall be annual-recurring rates
during the currencies of the loans and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the curren-
cies of the loans, being a period of 10 years or until the loans
are fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Christchurch Drainage Board held on 24 March 1970.

Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $500,000 authorised to be raised by the Christchurch
Drainage Board for the purpose of installing sewerage works
for the Belfast area, the said Christchurch Drainage
Board hereby makes a special rate of $0.000063915 in the
dollar upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property
within that part of the Christchurch Drainage District
described in Schedule C and in Schedule B (as altered from
time to time in terms of section 5 (f) of the Christchurch
District Drainage Amendment Act 1922 and section 60 (6) of
the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951) to a resolution
of the Board dated the 17th day of April 1923, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, of the 26th day of April
1923; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is
fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Christchurch Drainage Board held on 24 March 1970.
