Court of Inquiry under Construction Act

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Construction Act 1959, I, John Ross Marshall, the Minister of Labour, hereby direct that an inquiry shall be held before a court of inquiry consisting of Alfred William Yortt, s.M., Thomas Hagyard, and Jack Ian King, to establish the cause of an accident in connection with construction work on Thursday, the 19th day of February 1970, resulting in a fire on land of the Gear Meat Co. Ltd., at Petone; and to make to me a full report containing a complete statement of all the circumstances relevant to the subject matter of the investigation, and of the opinion of the Court thereon, accompanied by such reports or extracts from the evidence and such observations as the Court thinks fit.

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

1. This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1966, Amendment No. 16, and shall be read together with, and deemed to be part of the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1966 (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

2. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

3. The principal notice is hereby amended by deleting under the general heading of “HARDWARE,” subheading “Builders’, plumbers’, and electricians’ hardware,” the items

“Bulbs, electric”.
“Globes, electric”.
“Lamps, electric”.
