Declaring an Access Way to be Vested in the Corporation of
the City of Porirua and to be under the Control and
Management of the Porirua City Council

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 6th day of
April 1970
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the access way described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of
Porirua and be under the control and management of the
Porirua City Council.

SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 9.12 perches situate in Block
XI, Paekakariki Survey District, City of Porirua, being part
Section 186, Porirua District, and being Lot 59, D.P. 24239.

Exempting Certain Maori Land from Rates

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 6th day of
April 1970
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Rating Act 1967, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby exempts the Maori
freehold land described in the Schedule hereto from payment
of all rates made or levied by any local authority under the
provisions of the Rating Act 1967 for a period of 2 years from
the date of this Order in Council.

All that piece of land situated in Blocks VIII and XIII,
Kaweka Survey District and Blocks I and V, Pohue Survey

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim from the Waimahia
Inlet an area of 1 rood 7 perches, more or less; as shown,
edged red, on plan M.D. 13770 deposited in the office of the
Marine Department at Wellington.

section 19 of the Land Valuation Proceedings Act 1948, and
to all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf
and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby establish and give name to the Waikato
Land Valuation Committee No. 4.

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Construction Act 1959, I, John
Ross Marshall, the Minister of Labour, hereby appoint, as
from the 20th day of April 1970

Thomas Hagyard, B.SC(HONS.), PH.D.(LOND.), M.I.CHEM.E.,
F.N.Z.I.C., of Christchurch; and
Jack Ian King, C.B.E., P.P.N.Z.I.A., F.R.I.B.A., A.M.I.STRUCT.E.,
M.N.Z.I.E., of Wellington
to be members of a court of inquiry directed by me to establish
the cause of an accident in connection with construction work
on the 19th day of February 1970 resulting in a fire on land
of the Gear Meat Co. Ltd., at Petone.

Warrant of Appointment to the Coal Mines Council

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Norman Leslie
Shelton, Minister of Mines for the Dominion of New Zealand,
do appoint

to be a member of the Coal Mines Council for the purposes
of the said Act as from the 1st day of April 1970 to the 31st
day of March 1971.

term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of February 1970.
