COUNTY OF TAUPO

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Acacia Bay Water Supply Loan 1969—$60,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $60,000 authorised to be raised by the Taupo County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing reservoir, pumping station, reticulation, and ancillary works for Acacia Bay area, the said Taupo County Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal point four one one two cents (1.4112c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Acacia Bay Special Rating Area; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said special loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the said special loan is fully paid off.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Maungaturoto Centennial Hall Supplementary Loan 1967— $2,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing annual charges on a loan of $2,500 authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council, under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, for the Maungaturoto Centennial Hall, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal six six eight (.668) cents in the dollar upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Maungaturoto Community Centre District; and that the special rate shall be a recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable annually on the 6th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Tuesday, 17 March 1970.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Senior Citizens' Flats Loan 1970—$133,800

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and thirty-three thousand eight hundred dollars ($133,800) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation for elderly people, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and eleven ten thousandths of a cent (0.0111c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty (40) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 23rd day of March 1970.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Cemetery Loan No. 2, 1970—$40,000

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $40,000 authorised to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing an area of 193 acres of land for the provision of a cemetery for the Borough of Masterton, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.028c in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Masterton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF INTAKE POINT OF WATER RACE

PETER Paul O'Malley the younger and Anthony John O'Malley, both of Paerau, farmers, hereby give notice that they have applied for a change of point of intake and course of a water race, held by the applicants under No. 4092 (Naseby), the new point of intake commencing in the Serpentine Creek, at a point approximately ⅞ mile upstream from the point where the said creek crosses the north-eastern boundary of Run 308K (occupied by applicants); thence north-easterly for a distance of 60 chains; thence south-easterly across the Runs Road, inside the boundary of Run 308K for a further 60 chains; thence joining the original race.

The application and all objections thereto will be heard on Tuesday, the 12th day of May 1970, at 10 a.m., at the Warden's Court at Cromwell. All objections must be filed in the Registrar’s office and notified to the applicants or their solicitors at least 3 days before the time so appointed.
