Plan 23352, to the westernmost corner of part Rotomahana Parekarangi 5B 5A; thence along the south-western boundaries of parts Rotomahana Parekarangi 5B No. 5A, 5B, and 4B and the south-western end of a public road, to and along the south-western boundaries of Rotomahana Parekarangi 5B 4B and Section 7, Block IV, Paeroa Survey District, as shown on S.O. Plan 42812, to the southernmost corner of Section 7, aforesaid; thence due south to the northern side of a closed road; thence easterly along that roadside and its production to and south-easterly generally along the north-eastern side of No. 38 State Highway to and southerly generally up the middle of the Rangitaiki River and up the middle of the Whaeo River to its confluence with the Otueta Stream in Block VI, Heruwi Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 74A, Otamapotiki, in Block VII, Heruwi Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station A., Pohokura, in Block IX Mangahopai West Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 57, Opureke, in Block VI, Runanga Survey District; thence south-westerly along a right line to the intersection in Block IX, Runanga Survey District, of the south-western side of No. 5 State Highway and the middle of the Waipunga River; thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern side of the roadway in Tarawera C. 1 in Block XI, Tarawera Survey District (Hawke’s Bay Land District); thence north-westerly generally to and along that side of the said roadway and its production to the western side of the old Taupo-Napier Road; thence south-westerly generally along that roadside to and along the western side of Kowaro roadway to the north-eastern boundary of Tarawera No. 8; thence north-westerly along that boundary to and north-westerly, south-westerly, and south-easterly along the north-eastern, north-western, and south-western boundaries of Tarawera 10A, including the crossing of Omarowa roadway, to a point in line with the middle of a tributary of the Toropapa Stream; thence south-westerly to and up the middle of that tributary to its intersection with the southern boundary of Block X, Tarawera Survey District, approximately 10 chains east of the boundary between Blocks IX and X, Tarawera Survey District; thence westerly along that block boundary and the southern boundary of Block IX, Tarawera Survey District, to the generally south-eastern boundary of the South Auckland Land District (Gazette, 1936, p. 1806); thence south-westerly generally along that boundary to the middle of the Mohaka River at its confluence with the Mangatanguru Stream in Block VII, Kaweka Survey District; thence westerly along a right line to Trig. S. 8586, in Block XIV, Ranginui Survey District; thence easterly along that boundary and its production to and along the southern boundary of part Maraeroa A. 3B 2 to its easternmost point; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary of part Maraeroa A. 3B 2 and its production to and along the eastern boundaries of Maraeroa Part A. 3B 2 and A. 1 and the south-eastern boundary of part Pouakani B. 7 and its production to and along the south-eastern boundaries of part Pouakani B. 7 and Pouakani Z. to and down the middle of the Waitete Stream to a point in Block XI, Ranginui Survey District, due west of Trig. Station 1781 in Block X, Whakamaru Survey District; thence due west to a point due south of the northernmost corner of Section 2, Block VII, Ranginui Survey District; thence due north to that corner; thence along a right line to the confluence of the Maunukiora Stream and the Waipapa River; thence down the middle of that river to the point of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Northern Hawke’s Bay Pest Destruction District Order 1970.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1970.
- The boundaries of the Northern Hawke’s Bay Pest Destruction District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of October 1945*, are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE NORTHERN HAWKE’S BAY PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Wairoa and Hawke’s Bay Counties, containing 593,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Grid Reference 836667 (formerly pre-earthquake Trig. Station 65A) in Block XXI, Kaweka Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along a right line through Grid Reference 863766 (formerly pre-earthquake Trig. Station 68A) and its production to the middle of the Mohaka River; thence up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Wharetoto No. 1 Block; thence easterly generally to and along that boundary, the eastern boundary of that block to its intersection with the southern boundary of Block IX, Tarawera Survey District, along that boundary and approximately 10 chains along the southern boundary of Block X, Tarawera Survey District, to its intersection with a tributary of the Toropapa Stream, as shown on M.L. 1404; thence north-easterly down that tributary to the south-western boundary of Tarawera 10A Block; thence north-easterly generally along the south-western and northern boundaries of Tarawera 10A Block, the abutment of Omarowa Roadway, and again along the northern boundary of Tarawera 10A Block, the north-eastern boundary of part Tarawera 8 Block, and along the western side of the Kowaro Roadway, and the western side of the old Taupo-Napier Road, to a point in line with the southern side of a roadway in Tarawera C. 1 Block situated in Block XI, Tarawera Survey District; thence easterly generally to and along the side of that roadway and its production to and down the middle of the Waipunga River to and down the middle of the Mohaka River to the sea coast; thence southerly generally along the sea coast to the middle of the Tutaekuri River; thence north-westerly generally up the middle of that river to the middle of the Donald River; thence up the middle of that river to its intersection with a right line between Grid Reference 910586 (formerly pre-earthquake Trig. Station H., Don Juan) in Block V, Patoka Survey District, and Grid Reference 836667 (formerly pre-earthquake Trig. Station 65A); thence north-westerly along that right line to the point of commencement.
