Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authority mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the amount specified in that Schedule.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

Pursuant to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Thomas Ballinger and Co. Ltd. Industrial Union of Employers, Registered No. 142, situated at 13 Ghuznee Street, Wellington, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of 6 weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto the land described in that notice was declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas it is desired to replace that notice by a further notice referring to the land under the current appellation and area:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1970, No. 3.

  2. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

  3. This notice is issued in replacement of the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto, which is hereby revoked.

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1970, No. 4.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
