ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 5.5 square miles, more or less, being portion of the County of Eketahuna, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of part 2 of Section 10, Block IV, Puketoi S.D., and proceeding generally southerly along the western boundaries of the said part 2 of Section 10, the north-western boundaries of part 1 of Section 10, Block IV, Puketoi S.D., to and along the middle of Rakaunui Road to the middle of No. 52 State Highway, to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Section 11, Block VIII, Puketoi S.D., to the easternmost corner of the said Section 11, along a right line to the northernmost corner of Section 71, Block VIII, Puketoi S.D., and along the northern, western, and southern boundaries of the said Section 71 and the western boundary of Section 2, Block VIII, Puketoi S.D., to the south-western corner of the said Section 2; thence easterly along the boundary of the Manawatu and Wairarapa Catchment Districts, as described in Gazette, 1965, page 1844, to the north-eastern corner of Section 20, Block XII, Puketoi S.D.; thence generally northerly along the boundaries of the Manawatu Catchment District, as described in Gazette, 1943, page 973, to the point of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the State Services Act 1962, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
O R D E R
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Public Service Salary Order 1970.
(2) This order shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of June 1969.
- Salaries of members of the State Services Commission—(1) The salaries of the members of the State Services Commission shall be as follows:

Exempting Land in the Westland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
Lot 2, D.P. 317, being part Section 2, Town of Granity, Block VI, Ngakawau Survey District: area, 1 rood, more or less. Certificate of title, Volume 43, folio 123, Nelson Land District; save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
