HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and
in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby
given that the Henderson Borough Council proposes, under the
provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain
public work, viz., the widening of Great North Road, in the
Borough of Henderson; and, for the purposes of such public
work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required
to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in Thomas Street,
Henderson, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said lands, must state their objections, in writing,
and send the same, within 40 days of the first publication of
this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers,
Thomas Street.

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reserve Grandstand Loan 1969, $5,500

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Opotiki Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $5,500 authorised to be raised by the Opotiki Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
completing the erection of a grandstand on the reserve, the
said Opotiki Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of decimal point nought four four cent (.044c) in
the dollar ($) upon the rateable property of the Borough of
Opotiki; and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December
in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being
a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid
off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of
the Opotiki Borough Council held on the 23rd day of February
1970.
