WAIRUA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter or the Counties Act 1956, notice is hereby given that the Wairoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, a road; and, for that purpose, the lands described in the Schedule here are required to be taken. And notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the said Council, situated in Queen Street, Wairoa, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the lands, who have any objection, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objection, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, at the County Chambers.

The land affected is situated near the store, at Opoutama.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of land to be taken:

  • Firstly, 0 acres 0 roods 0.6 perches, being part Lot 1, Deposited Plan 8730, being part Section 31, Block III, Mahanga Survey District, situated in the Wairoa County and coloured orange on Survey Office Plan. No. 6036.

  • Secondly, 0 acres 0 roods 15.8 perches, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 8730, being part Section 31, Block III, Mahanga Survey District, situated in the Wairoa County and coloured orange on Survey Office Plan No. 6036.

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and to each and every power it thereunto enabling, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $14,000, described as Pensioner Housing Loan 1969 and authorised to be raised by the Dargaville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Dargaville hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three three of a cent (.033c) in the dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville, on the basis of the unimproved value; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

I hereby certify that the below is a true and correct copy of an extract from the minutes passed by the Waitemata County Council on 29 January 1970—

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $20,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building a covered swimming pool and associated building on the Parakai Domain, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0023c in the dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Waitemata; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off."

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of resolution making special rate as security for the Mount Albert Aged Persons Investment Flats Loan 1969, of $60,000, passed by the Mount Albert Borough Council at a meeting held on the 10th day of February 1970:

"That, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“‘That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of $60,000, known as the Aged Persons Investment Flats Loan 1969, of $60,000, for the purpose of purchasing land, erecting flats for purchase by elderly citizens, and making advances to purchasers, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought five two of a cent (.0052c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Given under the Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert this 20th day of February 1970.

OTOROHANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $12,000 authorised to be raised by the Otorohanga Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of erecting six pensioner flats, the said Otorohanga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.056c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Otorohanga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
