Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical Services
for the Residents of Hokianga and Whangaroa Counties

PURSUANT to section 117 of the Social Security Act 1964, the
Minister of Health has made special arrangements whereby
all persons for the time being resident in the Counties of
Hokianga and Whangaroa and entitled to claim benefits under
Part II of that Act shall, on and after 1 April 1970, be entitled
to receive, free of charge, at the hands of any registered
medical practitioner who is employed or engaged by the
Northland Hospital Board or who is providing relief for such
persons pursuant to a contract made with the said Board under
section 78 of the Hospitals Act 1957, general medical services
as defined in section 88 (1) of the Social Security Act 1964.

These special arrangements are in addition to the benefits
provided by Part II of the Social Security Act 1964:

Provided that no person may receive from the Department
of Health, under that Act, any payment in respect of any
service or requirement given or supplied pursuant to the
arrangements.

This notice is in substitution for the notice dated 28 August
1941, published in Gazette, 28 August 1941, Vol. II, p. 2702,
and for the notice dated 24 October 1945, published in Gazette,
8 November 1945, Vol. III, p. 1402.

Invercargill

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the

after the 2nd day of March 1970.
