CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reclamation Area (Buildings) Loan No. 2, 1969—$120,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of erecting housing units on land in the Conference Street area, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes a special rate of .0000405 (decimal nought nought nought four nought five) in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 15th day of December 1969, passed the above resolution.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Renewal Loan (No. 3), 1969—$82,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing principal and other charges on a loan of eighty-two thousand dollars ($82,000) to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Electricity Extension Loan No. 2, 1959 ($82,000), which matures on 15 March 1970, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .0000865 (decimal nought nought nought eight six five) in the dollar on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan.”

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 15th day of December 1969, passed the above resolution.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

General Renewal Loan No. 3, 1969, of $27,200

Copy of resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 15 December 1969:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $27,200 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Water of Leith Loan 1959, of $48,000, which matures on 15 March 1970, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0063c in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 6 years or 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Civic Administration Building Loan 1961, $572,000—Fourth Issue, $191,800

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $191,800 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a new civic administration building, including flooring and work incidental thereto, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three five cents (.035c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $244,750 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Bluff Water Supply Loan 1957 of $302,000 which matures on 31 January 1970, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four seven cents (.047c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 23 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE

RESOLVED that the following resolution, carried at a special meeting of the Mosgiel Borough Council, held on the 4th day of November 1969, be, and the same is, hereby confirmed:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Mosgiel Borough Council resolves, so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a special order, to make and levy an annual-recurring consolidated special rate of one decimal nine seven cents (1.97c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Mosgiel, comprising the whole of the Borough of Mosgiel; and that such consolidated special rate shall be made
