ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 27th day of January 1969

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Matamata County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All those pieces of road situated in Block VII, Tapapa Survey District, described as follows:

    • 0 2 33 Section 31, Block VII, Tapapa Survey District.
    • 0 2 2.5 Part Lot 1, D.P. 29161.
    • 0 1 30.5f Part Lot 1, D.P. 13331.
    • 1 0 9 Part Lot 2, D.P. 13331.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22926 (S.O. 44145) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

ORDER

(a) The land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, being land held primarily for the development of water power (Kuratau power project), is hereby authorised to be applied also for recreation purposes, which shall be secondary uses of the land.

(b) Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall apply to the said land.

(c) The control and management of the said land is hereby vested in the King Country Electric Power Board.

Pursuant to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Intellectually Handicapped Children's Society (Incorporated), Whakatane Branch, Order 1968.

  2. The Intellectually Handicapped Children's Society (Incorporated), Whakatane Branch, an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of the sheltered workshop at 14 Francis Street, Whakatane, from:

    (a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect of persons employed in that workshop; and

    (b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946, and all the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the Minimum Wage Act 1945.
