✨ Import, Electricity, Cemetery, Education, Land
Pursuant to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

(a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 26) 1969.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette. -
Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirements of a licence under the said regulations.

The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

The Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board Electric Lines Licence 1965, Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby amends the Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas Board Electric Lines Licence 1965* by adding to the Schedule thereto the following clauses:
“(3) A submarine cable commencing from a point south of the Marine Parade, Petone Borough, thence proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction to Somes Island, Port Nicholson; the said cable being more particularly shown on plan marked N.Z.E.D. 793 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
“(4) Lines and associated electric work which may, from time to time, be required for the distribution and supply of electrical energy on and about Somes Island.”

The Whananaki Cemetery Closing Notice 1969
Pursuant to the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, the Minister of Health hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Whananaki Cemetery Closing Notice 1969.
- It is hereby directed that the Whananaki Cemetery, being the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto, shall be closed and burials therein discontinued after the 30th day of June 1970.
- As from the 30th day of June 1970 the control and management of the closed Whananaki Cemetery shall vest in the Whangarei County Council.
SCHEDULE
WHANANAKI CEMETERY
All that piece of land in the North Auckland Land District containing 10 acres, more or less, being Section 25, Block IX, Opuawhanga Survey District.

Pursuant to section 96 of the Education Act 1964, notice is hereby given that the school known as the New Zealand Technical Correspondence Institute is hereby established as a school to provide instruction by correspondence for the purpose of the provision of further education.
