hereby further given that the said lands are situated in the said area, proclaimed a reclamation area by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of 22 May 1969, No. 31, at page 948, and are all the lands comprised in certificates of title, register books Volume 16, folio 259, Volume 81, folio 263, Volume 221, folio 197, and Volume 284, folios 96, 112, and 113; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said lands should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send such written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, on the 10th day of December 1969, to the Town Clerk of the Corporation; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

AN estate in fee simple in:

  1. That piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin, containing 6.6 poles, more or less, being Lots 63 and 64, Deeds Plan 72, and being all of the land comprised in certificate of title, register book Volume 16, folio 259; situated at the corner of Carroll Street and Perth Avenue, Dunedin.

  2. That piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin, containing 9.5 poles, more or less, being Lots 33, 34, and 35 Deposited Plan 578, being all of the land comprised in certificate of title, register book Volume 81, folio 263, and known as No. 90 Carroll Street, Dunedin.

  3. That piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin, containing 5.66 poles, more or less, being part of Section 23, Block IV, Town of Dunedin; as is more particularly shown on Deposited Plan 3632, being all of the land in certificate of title, register book Volume 221, folio 197, and known as No. 55, 57, and 59 Melville Street, Dunedin.

  4. That piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin, containing 4.2 poles, more or less, being Lot 2, Deeds Plan 386, being all of the land comprised in certificate of title, register book Volume 284, folio 96, and known as No. 4 Palmyra Street, Dunedin.

  5. That piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin, containing 5.88 poles, more or less, being Lots 60 and 69, Deeds Plan 72, being all of the land comprised in certificate of title, register book Volume 284, folio 112, and known as No. 61 Melville Street, Dunedin.

  6. That piece of land situated in the City of Dunedin, containing 6.5 poles, more or less, being Lot 65 and part Lot 66, Deeds Plan 72, being all of the land comprised in certificate of title, register book Volume 284, folio 113, and known as No. 53 Melville Street, Dunedin.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO STOP PIECES OF ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, public notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes, pursuant to section 148 of the Public Works Act 1928, to stop those pieces of road situated on the Paerata Junction Road (Glenbrook (Steel Mill) Road), in the County of Franklin, described in the Schedule hereto.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the Franklin County Council, situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons who may wish to make any objections to the above proposal to stop the said pieces of road must set forth their objections, in writing, and send the same to the County Clerk at the office of the Franklin County Council, Roulston Street, Pukekohe, within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice. If any objections are received by the Franklin County Council, as aforesaid, a public notice shall be published calling a meeting of the ratepayers of the district, such meeting to be held at a time and place to be specified in the said notice, the time so specified being not earlier than 14 days after the date of publication of the notice pursuant to the said section of the Public Works Act 1928.

SCHEDULE

AREAS and descriptions of the pieces of road proposed to be stopped:

Two roods thirty-four decimal nine perches (2r. 34.9p.), adjoining or passing through Lot 6, Deposited Plan 7691, Block VI, Drury Survey District; coloured green, edged green, on S.O. Plan 45565.

One rood thirty-two decimal three perches (1r. 32.3p.), adjoining or passing through Lot 5, Deposited Plan 7691, Block VI, Drury Survey District; coloured green, edged green, on S.O. Plan 45565.

Six decimal eight perches (6.8p.), adjoining or passing through Lot 1, Deposited Plan 31745, Block X, Drury Survey District; coloured green on S.O. Plan 45565.

All situated in the County of Franklin, North Auckland Land Registration District; as the same are more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 45565 deposited in the office of the Lands and Survey Department, Auckland.

WAIMATE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

“THAT, in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Waimate Borough Council does hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and principal repayment charges on the Pensioner Flats Loan 1969, $18,200, the Waimate Borough Council hereby appropriates and pledges as security for the said loan a special rate of 0.0877c in the $1 on the rateable value (based on unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waimate.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waimate Borough Council held on 26 August 1969.

WAIMEA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimea Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $250,000, known as Reticulation Loan (No. 14) 1969, authorised to be raised by the Waimea Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing electrical works and line extensions, the said Waimea Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two five cents (.025c) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Waimea Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Waimea Electric Power Board on 19 November 1969.
