Boundaries of Borough of Mount Maunganui Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto the boundaries of the Borough of Mount Maunganui; the boundaries having previously been altered by Order in Council made on 29 July 1968, published in Gazette, 1 August 1968, No. 48, p. 1280.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF MOUNT MAUNGANUI
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District containing 3,487 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the generally eastern shore of Tauranga Harbour, being the north-western corner of part Ohuki 1c 1, in Block XI, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly generally along that shore to and along the western boundaries of Sections 74 and 63, Block VII, Tauranga Survey District, and the eastern boundary of Section 105, Block VII, aforesaid, as shown on S.O. Plan 44549, to and north-westerly generally along the shore of the Tauranga Harbour to the shore of the Bay of Plenty; thence south-easterly generally along that shore to the northernmost corner of Papamoa 2 No. 10A 2c 4; thence along the north-western boundary of that block and its production to and along the north-western boundaries of Papamoa 2 No. 10A, No. 2c 2, 2c 1, and 1 and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the north-eastern side of the Mount Maunganui Branch Railway; thence north-westerly along that side to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 26202; thence to and along that boundary to and north-westerly generally along the south-western boundary of that land to Matapihi Road, along a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 9, Block XI, Tauranga Survey District, and along the south-western boundary of that section to the south-eastern boundary of part Omanu No. 1; thence south-westerly generally along that boundary to and along the north-western boundary of part Ohuki 1c 1 to the point of commencement.
Also Section 12, Block VII, Tauranga Survey District (Moturiki Island), and Motuotau Block (Motuotau Island).

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Town District of Kawakawa, Borough of Kaikohe, County of Bay of Islands, and of Kawakawa, Towai, and Mataraua Ridings of the County of Bay of Islands; the boundaries having previously been altered by Order in Council made on 21 September 1966, published in Gazette, 26 September 1966, No. 55, p. 1489; on 15 May 1963, published in Gazette, 23 May 1963, No. 29, p. 688; on 23 June 1969, published in Gazette, 26 June 1969, No. 37, p. 1161; on 16 June 1969, published in Gazette, 19 June 1969, No. 36, p. 1108; and on 23 June 1969, published in Gazette, 26 June 1969, No. 37, p. 1161.

BOUNDARIES OF TOWN DISTRICT OF KAWAKAWA
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing approximately 565 acres bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the northern side of the Newmarket-Opua Railway with the right bank of the Waiharakeke Stream in Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District, and proceeding north-erly generally along that right bank to and easterly generally along the left bank of the Waiomio Stream to a point in line with the eastern side of the public road forming the western boundary of Section 9, Suburbs of Waiomio; thence to and along that eastern side, to and along the generally southern side of Bridge Street and its production across another public street and the Newmarket-Opua Railway to the south-eastern side of that railway, and still easterly generally along that south-eastern side to a point in line with the south-western side of Cemetery Road; thence to and along that south-western side to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 50009; thence to and along that north-western boundary and southerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 1 to 10 inclusive and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to and along the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of Lot 11 and the eastern boundaries of Lots 12 to 17 inclusive, all the aforesaid lots being shown on D.P. 50009, to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 17, and along a right line across a public street to the easternmost corner of Lot 8, D.P. 47725, and along the western side of the Kawakawa-Ruapekapeka Road to and westerly generally along the southern boundary of Section 3, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District, and the eastern and southern boundaries of that part of Section 2, Block XVI, aforesaid, comprised in C.T. 15d/410 to Waiomio Road; thence northerly along the eastern side of that road to the southern boundary of Section 1, Block XVI, aforesaid, and then westerly across Waiomio Road to and along another part of that southern boundary and its production to the left bank of the Waiomio Stream; thence southerly along that left bank to southernmost corner of that part of Section 13, Block XVI, aforesaid, comprised in C.T. 431/282 and along a right line across part of State Highway No. 1 to the easternmost corner of an area of 2 roods and 6 perches taken for road by Proclamation published in Gazette, 1943, p. 1077, and still southerly generally along the eastern boundary of that area to and along the western side of State Highway No. 1 to and along the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 22, Suburbs of Kawakawa, to the southernmost corner of that allotment; thence along a right line to the easternmost corner of that part of Hospital Road which forms the western boundary of Section 52, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District, and along the eastern side of Hospital Road to the westernmost corner of Section 53; thence along a right line bearing 209° 11′ and distance 870.7 links and then westerly generally along another right line bearing 280° 38′ across Hospital Road to the western side of that road, the aforesaid bearings and distance shown on L.T. Plan 62017; thence along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 49195, and along the southern boundary of that lot to its south-western corner and then along another right line to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 33397, and along another right line bearing 283° 13′, as shown on D.P. 33397, to the western side of the public road forming the western boundary of the last-mentioned lot; thence southerly along that roadside to the southernmost corner of Section 88, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District, and then northerly along the western boundary of that section to, and westerly and then again northerly along, the southern and western boundaries of Section 26, Suburbs of Kawakawa, to the north-western corner of that section and along a right line to the westernmost corner of Section 19, Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District; thence along the north-western boundary of that section and the north-western end of Boswell Street to the Newmarket-Opua Railway, and due north along a right line across that railway to its northern side; thence westerly along that northern side to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 1,345 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Taraire 1b 1c 2 on the right bank of the Mangamutu Stream in Block XV, Omapere Survey District, and proceeding easterly generally along the said right bank to and along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Taraire 2a 2, the generally southern boundary of Taraire 2g 3E, and a right line crossing Reservoir Road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Taraire 2g 3 (roadway), and Taraire 2g 2, to the right bank of the Wairoro Stream; thence southerly generally along that bank to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Kohewhata 40 to and southerly along the eastern side of Mangakahia Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Kohewhata 47; thence across that road to and along the said boundary, crossing the Kaikohe Branch Railway, to the point bearing 247° 37′ and distant 46.0 links from the westernmost corner of Kohewhata 5; thence along right lines crossing Kohewhata 47 and bearing 274° 35′, distance 402.5 links, bearing 207° 52′, shown on M.L.
