Amending Licence Authorising Seafoods Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island, as a Site for a Fish Shed

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby amends the licence notified in the Gazette on 12 January 1967, page 12, authorising Seafoods Ltd. to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island, as a site for a fish shed, by revoking so much from plan M.D. 12463 as relates to the walkway.

The Motor Launch (Taieri and Waipori Rivers) Notice 1969

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby gives the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Taieri and Waipori Rivers) Notice 1969.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force for a period of 8 years.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall not be subject to regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water in the Taieri and Waipori Rivers commencing at John Bull Head, Taieri River mouth, and extending to the Waipori River bridge, excepting:
(a) The Taieri River northwards of its confluence with the Waipori River.
(b) Within 30 yards of each bank of the river between the Taieri ferry bridge and the Waipori River bridge.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. At the following places there shall be placed notice boards:
    (a) On both banks of the river, at John Bull Head.
    (b) On both banks of the river, at the Waipori River bridge.

  2. The aforesaid notice boards which shall measure not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft, shall be painted bright orange with black letters and shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
BETWEEN John Bull Head and the Waipori River bridge motor launches and water skiers may travel at speeds greater than 5 mph, but must keep at least 30 yds from the shore between the Waipori River bridge and the Taieri ferry bridge.”

The Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County) Notice No. 4, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County) Notice No. 4, 1969.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hawke’s Bay County, adjacent to Hastings City:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from the north-eastern boundary of Hastings City to a point 48 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said State highway from the said boundary of Hastings City).

Apatu Road (from Bennett Road to a point 16 chains measured north-easterly generally along Apatu Road from Bennett Road).

Bennett Road (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 32 chains measured northerly generally along Bennett Road from the said State highway).

Ellwood Road (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 24 chains measured northerly generally along Ellwood Road from the said State highway).

Panapa Street (from Bennett Road to a point 16 chains measured north-easterly generally along Panapa Street from Bennett Road).

The Traffic (Westland County) Notice No. 5, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Westland County) Notice No. 5, 1969.

The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 23rd day of April 1968†, which relates to Kumara Borough, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Westland County, at Kumara:

No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara) (from Cashman Street to a point 45 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Cashman Street).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Westland County, at Kumara:

No. 73 State Highway (Christchurch-Kumara) (from Cashman Street to a point 33 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from Cashman Street).

Declaration That a Reserve Form Part of the Heriot Domain

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to form part of the Heriot Domain, to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—HERIOT DOMAIN—TUAPEKA COUNTY COUNCIL

Lot 1, D.P. 11447, being part Sections 7 and 8, Block I, Town of Heriot: area, 7.4 perches, more or less. Part certificates of title, Volume 83, folio 247, and Volume 72, folio 176.
