THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1969, No. 3.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Cancelling the Reservation of Maori Freehold Land

NOTICE is given that, pursuant to section 439 (5) (b) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the reservation of the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto and reserved for the common use of the owners thereof as a site for a meeting house and a church by Order in Council of 30 November 1935, published in Gazette, 8 December 1938, No. 89, p. 2717, is hereby cancelled.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

NOTICE is given that, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place and recreation and sports ground for the common use and benefit of all the members of the Ngati Hangarau subtribe and of all the residents in the locality of the reservation.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block IX, Tauranga Survey District, and described as follows:

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

NOTICE is given that, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a community centre and a dining hall for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Rangiwewehi, the Maori people generally, and their respective visitors.

Cancelling the Reservation of Maori Freehold Land

NOTICE is given that, pursuant to section 439 (5) (b) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the reservation of the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto and set apart for the common use of the members of the Ngati-Hikairo tribe for the purposes of a papakainga and manse by Order in Council of 19 July 1939, published in Gazette, 27 July 1939, No. 56, p. 2059, is hereby cancelled.

NOTICE is hereby given that the area described in the First Schedule hereto has been acquired as permanent State forest land by way of exchange for the area described in the Second Schedule hereto, pursuant to section 22 of the Forests Act 1949.

As shown on plan No. S. 172/7 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

Levy on Main Crop Potatoes

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Potato Growing Industry Act 1950 and the regulations made thereunder, the Potato Board hereby resolves and determines that:

  1. From and including 1 March 1969 a levy at the rate of $1.40 per unit of 2,000 lbs, and payable in accordance with this resolution, be made upon growers of main crop potatoes.
