Notice of Intention to Take Land in Blocks IV and VIII, Waihi South Survey District, and Block I, Awa-a-Te-Atua Survey District, Whakatane County, for Road (Otamarakau-Matata Section of State Highway No. 2, near Matata)

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the land described in the Schedule hereto: and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Matata and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works hereby proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto and hereby proclaims that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby closed and vested in Doreen Clare Ward, of Laingholm, widow, subject to mortgage 483966.
