bronze trim (U.K. Specification BS 1218
class 1)
(7) Check valves (reflux), cast iron, 3 in., 4 in., and
6 in. Standard type for test pressures not
exceeding 600 ft head of water, not including
special non-concussive types or valves with
external operating levers
(8) Plugcocks, bronze, screwed and flanged straight
through or 3-way, sizes ½ in. to 4 in. (but not
sleeve packed plugcocks)
(9) Valves of a type used on bulk fuel tankers, viz:
(a) Pressure vacuum valves, aluminium, screwed
(b) Bottom outlet valves, aluminium or bronze,
sizes 3 in. and 4 in., flanged
(NOTE—This approval does not cover
taps, bibcocks, or fire hydrants)
(10) Needle valves, of bronze, in line types, sizes
¼ in., ¾ in. and ½ in. B.S.P.
(11) Pressure reducing valves of bronze, pilot
operated, flanged and screwed, stainless steel
seat and valve, sizes ½ in. to 2 in.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of this application should do so in writing on or before 11 December 1969.
Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the
Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;

(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;

(c) Present and potential output; and

(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
