The income therefrom is applied for the purpose of establishing
and maintaining scholarships to be awarded to enable persons
registered or eligible to be registered as medical practitioners
under the Medical Practitioners Act 1950 to pursue and undertake research overseas and/or to obtain post-graduate training
and experience overseas in the fields of rheumatic disease,
physical medicine, and manipulative treatment.

From and after the date on which the scheme is approved
by the Supreme Court of New Zealand the said deeds of trust
will be modified and varied to enable the Trustee in its
discretion in addition to the powers already conferred upon it
under the said deeds of trust to provide the necessary finance
for meeting from the income of the said trust fund (subject
always to the direction of the Board of Governors of the trust)
the cost of bringing to New Zealand from time to time an
overseas specialist or specialists in the said fields of rheumatic
disease, physical medicine, and/or manipulative treatment for
the purpose of delivering lectures, conducting study courses,
and/or supervising training and/or research in the said fields,
subject to the conditions set forth in the scheme and the said
deeds of trust. Copies of the said deeds of trust and of the
proposed scheme are available for public inspection at the
offices of the Trustee's solicitors, whose name and address for
service is set out hereunder.

Notice is hereby further given that the above-mentioned
motion is to be heard at the Supreme Court at Auckland on
Wednesday, the 17th day of December 1969, at 10 o'clock in
the forenoon, and any person desiring to oppose the scheme
is hereby required to give written notice of his intention to
do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland, to
the Trustee at the said offices of its solicitors, and to the
Attorney-General not less than seven (7) clear days before
the said date of hearing.

EYRE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1968

'THAT, for the purpose of providing the charges on a loan of
eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) authorised to be raised
by the Eyre County Council under the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956 for the purpose of making advances to farmers, in
terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, which loan is known as
the Rural Housing Loan 1968, the Eyre County Council hereby
makes a special rate of 0.01765c in the dollar upon all rateable
property in the Eyre County; and that such special rate shall
be the annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan,
being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully
paid.'

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Redemption Loan 1969, $53,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

For the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan
of $53,000 authorised to be raised by the Cambridge Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying on maturity that portion of the Water Supply Loan
1962, $205,080, which matured on 1 June 1969, the said
Cambridge Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
decimal nought nine cents (.09c) in the dollar upon the rateable
value of all rateable property in the Borough of Cambridge;
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 24 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wainuiomata Sewerage Treatment Works Redemption Loan
No. 2 1969, $7,500

I certify that the Hutt County Council passed the following
resolution at its meeting on 6 November 1969:

'Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt
County Council hereby resolves as follows:

'That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $7,500 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
repaying on maturity that portion of the Redemption Loan No.
1 1963, $29,000, which matures on 1 December 1969, the Hutt
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
.009 (decimal nought nought nine) cents in the dollar upon
the unimproved value of all rateable property in the No. 55
Special Rating Area, being part of Wainuiomata Riding of the
County of Hutt, and that the special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 18 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.'
