Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in Grey County

(Note No. Ag. 10522)

PURSUANT to section 22 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950
and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under the
Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the
said section, the following resolution, made by the Grey County
Council on the 15th day of October 1969, is hereby published.

RESOLUTION

THAT the Grey County Council assume responsibility for the
administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 within the
Grey County as from 1 April 1970.

Notice of Varied Hours for Sale of Liquor at the Grand Hotel,

Palmerston North

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962,
as inserted by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act (No. 2)
1967; I, John Lochiel Robson, Secretary for Justice, hereby
give notice that the Licensing Control Commission, on 13
October 1969, made an order fixing hours other than the usual
hours for opening and closing the Grand Hotel, Palmerston
North, for sale of liquor to the public, namely, that such
hotel premises be authorised to open at 8 o'clock in the morning
and close at 7 o'clock in the evening, Mondays to Saturdays
inclusive.

Price Order No. 2120 (Steel Products Manufactured by Pacific

Steel Ltd.)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal
hereby makes the following price order:

PRELIMINARY

  1. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2120 and shall
    come into force on the 14th day of November 1969.

  2. (1) Price Order No. 2089* is hereby revoked.
    (2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the liability
    of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before
    the coming into force of this order.

  3. In this order:
    The expression 'f.o.r.' means 'free on rail', and the expression 'c and f' means 'cost and freight'.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. This order applies to the following steel products manufactured
    by Pacific Steel Ltd.:
Rolled and Rerolled Steel Bars
  1. Rounds
  2. Squares
  3. Flats
  4. Angles
  5. Channels

MAXIMUM PRICES TO BE CHARGED

  1. (1) The maximum factory selling prices that may be charged or
    received by Pacific Steel Ltd. for any steel products to which this
    order applies shall be the basis price shown in this order, with
    adjustments in the form of extras as specified hereunder being made
    as appropriate.
    (2) The maximum prices, as aforesaid, are fixed for deliveries as
    follows:
    (a) Within a radius of 25 miles of Otahuhu, free on truck at mill.
    (b) 'f.o.r.' Whangarei, Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga, Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Masterton, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, and Invercargill.
    (c) Landed on wharf or at railhead at Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru, Nelson, Greymouth, Dunedin, and Bluff.
    (d) For sales to other areas, the approved maximum selling
    prices may be surcharged with the amount which does not
    exceed the actual freight incurred for transport of steel
    from the nearest freight paid point mentioned above.

(3) The maximum basis price shall be $116 per ton and shall
apply to mild steel concrete reinforcing bars made in conformity
with New Zealand Standard Specifications 197, angles, channels,
flats, squares, and rounds other than reinforcing made in conformity with New Zealand Standard Specification 309.

(4) The basis price shall cover the following sizes:
Rounds ¼" diameter and over
Squares ½" to 3"
Flats 1" to 6" wide by ¼" to 1" thick

(N.B. There is no basis size for angles and the company is
not making basis size channels—8" x 3" and
over.)

(5) The basis price shall cover lengths from 16 ft to 35 ft.

(6) The basis price shall cover the following quantities:

Rounds, 5 tons and over { In one size and gauge or
Squares, 5 tons and over { diameter and in one
Flats, 5 tons and over { quality
Angles, 5 tons and over }

(7) The basis price shall cover the cold straightening of angles.

  1. The maximum charges for extras as appropriate are as follows:

The above quantity extras apply to items of one size, quality, and length.

Where quantities under 10 tons of an item incur any extra freight,
