A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

The Finance Companies (Government Stock) Order (No. 2) 1969

PURSUANT to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964 and the Finance Companies (Investment) Regulations (No. 2) 1969, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Finance Companies (Government Stock) Order (No. 2) 1969.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- Interpretation—In this order—
“Borrowings”, in relation to any finance company, has the same meaning as in the regulations, except that for the purposes of this order the amount thereof shall be as determined in accordance with any specific exemption given to the finance company under the regulations:
“Finance company”, “Government stock”, and “quarter” have the same meaning as in the regulations:
“The regulations” means the Finance Companies (Investment) Regulations (No. 2) 1969.
- Minimum percentage of Government stock to be held by finance companies—The minimum percentage of its borrowings that every finance company shall hold in Government stock in accordance with the requirements of the regulations shall be—
(a) On the 31st day of December 1969, and at all times during the succeeding quarter, 5 percent:
(b) On the 31st day of March 1970, and at all times during the succeeding quarter, 7½ percent:
(c) On the 30th day of June 1970, and at all times during every quarter in each year thereafter, 10 percent.
- Revocation—The Finance Companies (Government Stock) Order 1969* is hereby revoked.

Surgeon Commander (D) T. H. Logan, M.B.E., released (transferred to the Royal New Zealand Dental Corps), to date 21 July 1969.
Lieutenant Commander G. M. Walton, engagement extended to 13 March 1973.
Lieutenant Commander E. R. Leary, released (at own request), to date 5 September 1969, and placed on the Retired List, to date 6 September 1969.
Constructor Lieutenant K. J. Olsen, released (short-service engagement completed), to date 1 October 1969.
Sub Lieutenant A. W. Bullock, granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant, to date 8 September 1969.
Ensign M. W. Shepherd, promoted to Sub Lieutenant and reappointed, to date 8 July 1969.
Ensign P. J. Davey, promoted to Sub Lieutenant and reappointed, to date 29 August 1969, with seniority of 1 January 1969.
Midshipmen D. F. Kerr, C. G. Lloyd, and A. J. Peck, promoted to Ensign and reappointed, to date 1 September 1969.
Chaplain C. A. Campbell, to be released, to date 20 November 1969.
Third Officer S. C. Willard, WRNZNS, engagement extended to 14 April 1971.
