MANUKAU CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and its amendments, and of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, notice is hereby given that the Manukau City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of the public street named Pakuranga Road; and, for such public work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the Manukau City Council, at Otara Road, Otara, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during the ordinary office hours.
Every person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land is called upon to set forth, in writing, any objections he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection as to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection, within forty (40) days of the first publication of this notice, to the Manukau City Council, Private Bag, Manurewa.
If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing. At the hearing of any objection the objector shall be advised of the reasons for the proposed taking.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Masterton Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of land for sewage-treatment-plant purposes; and, for the purposes of such public work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Chapel Street, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
And persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Chapel Street, Masterton.
If any objection is made a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and the place of the hearing.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing twenty-seven acres three roods and five perches (27A. 3R. 5P.), more or less, being part Taumata Kaihuka B. No. 4 and part of Taumata Kaihuka B. No. 3 and part Block V, Otahoua Survey District, being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 130, folio 54 (Wellington Registry); as the same is more particularly shown on a plan of subdivision prepared by H. F. Tomlinson, Esq., of Masterton, registered surveyor, and lodged with the Chief Surveyor at Wellington as No. 27745.
The said land is situate at Homebush, near Masterton, on the northern bank of the Ruamahanga River, in the vicinity of the area known as “Wardell’s Bridge”.
