(c) to construct, extend, maintain, alter, repair, renew, and
cleanse open drains, pipes, and conduits through,
along, or under the land secondly described in the
Schedule hereto; and

(d) to dig up and break the surface of the land secondly
described in the Schedule hereto, or any parts thereof,
and generally to do and perform all acts and things
as may be necessary or proper, including reinstatement
of the said land, for any of the purposes hereinbefore
mentioned; provided however, that the registered
owner of the said land shall be given 7 days’ notice
before any work hereunder is commenced;

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement
to that effect having been entered into, the leasehold estates
in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from the
Maori Trustee by the Greymouth Fire Board under and by
virtue of memoranda of lease No. 4294, 4352, and 2571,
recorded respectively in register 1A, folio 823, register 1B, folio
1361, and register 2B, folio 948, Westland Land Registry, are
hereby taken for a Government centre from and after the
13th day of October 1969.
