Notice of Intention to Take Land in Blocks X and XIV, Paeroa Survey Districts, Rotorua County, for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes (Waiotapu River Diversion, at Reporoa)
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for soil conservation and river control purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Reporoa and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block VI, Kaimanawa Survey District, Taupo County, for a Metal Pit
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a metal pit; and, for the purposes of that public work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Turangi and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

(Land required for a metal pit on the Tongariro Power Scheme, adjacent to the Mangatoetoenui Stream, on State Highway No. 1, approximately 21 miles south of Turangi.)

Notice of Approval of Bylaws
PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that he approves the Manukau City Council Bylaw No. 8, 1967—Foreshore and marine control, adopted and passed by the Council at a special meeting on 14 December 1967, as amended at a special meeting of 14 November 1968.
The said bylaw and amendment shall have effect on the day following publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Amending Foreshore Licence for Jetty at Riverton
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby amends the notice signed on 25 May 1967* licensing William John Heatherington to occupy a site at Riverton for a jetty, and assigned to Charles Lorne Waitiri and Mary Harriet Waitiri on 9 January 1968†, by deleting the symbols "M.D. 12576" and substituting the symbols "M.D. 13071" therefor.

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that the notice signed on 4 December 1967†, declaring areas to be access lanes in Lake Taupo, is hereby revoked.

Amending Notice Declaring Areas to be Access Lanes at Lake Taupo for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962
PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine hereby amends the notice signed on 16 December 1965†, declaring areas to be access lanes at Lake Taupo for the purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, in the following manner:
- By deleting the first paragraph in the Second Schedule, and substituting the following words:
"Firstly, all that area of water at Kinloch, Whangamata Bay, Lake Taupo, bounded on the sides by parallel lines 150 yd apart, extending in a 240° true direction 200 yd from the edge of the water, the western boundary commencing on the eastern boundary of the Marina Terrace lake access."
