Declaring Lands in the Nelson Land District to be Crown Land, Subject to the Land Act 1948

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, the Minister of Mines hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

The lands described in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be Crown lands, subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

All that area of land containing 1 rood 33.2 perches, more or less, being Sections 655, 656, 657, 694, 695, and 696, Town of Reefton, and being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Volume 37, folio 184; as is more particularly delineated, in red, on a plan held in the Head Office of the Mines Department, Wellington.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of County of Whakatane and Borough of Whakatane

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from the County of Whakatane and be included in the Borough of Whakatane. All persons affected who object to the proposed alterations of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, within 1 month from the date of publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

All that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, containing 1,100 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the northern boundary of Section 13, Block II, Whakatane Survey District, and the western side of Bay View Road, on the shore of the Bay of Plenty, and proceeding generally northerly, easterly, and southerly along that shore to the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 22040; thence along that boundary to its northernmost point; thence along the western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 22040, and Lot 1, D.P. 26303, to and along the north-eastern boundary of part Allotment 246A 2, Waimana Parish, to the easternmost corner of that allotment; thence south-westerly generally along the generally northwestern side of Whakatane-Kutere Road to the northern side of a public road opposite the western boundary of Allotment 539, Waimana Parish; thence easterly along the production of that roadside to the eastern side of Whakatane-Kutere Road; thence southerly along that roadside to and along the western boundary of Allotment 427, Waimana Parish, to Old Peg VIII, shown on S.O. S. 10326; being a point on the boundary of the Whakatane Borough; thence north-easterly generally and north-westerly along that part of the borough boundary as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1966, p. 335, to the north-western boundary of part Allotment 245, Waimana Parish, as shown on D.P. 23787; thence north-easterly generally along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Allotments 538 and 537, Waimana Parish; thence to and along the south-western boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 25400, to the south-eastern side of Bay View Road; thence north-easterly along that roadside to the south-western boundary of Allotment 273, Waimana Parish, shown on S.O. Plan 34148; thence along that boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 273, aforesaid, to the south-western boundary of Lot 16, D.P. 20477; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the western boundary of Allotment 537, Waimana Parish; thence northerly along that boundary to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 12340; thence westerly along that boundary to the eastern side of Bay View Road; thence along a right line to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for a public school from and after the 10th day of February 1969.

All that piece of land containing 2 roods 30.2 perches situated in Block VIII, Wyndham Survey District, Southland R.D., being Section 72; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22801 (S.O. 7751) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
