HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby (a) declares the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto to be Government road, and (b) stops the said road.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

All that piece of road containing 2 acres and 4.1 perches passing through part Lot 7, D.P. 1572, being part Section 79, Waitotara District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 21952 (S.O. 26745) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Merger of the Electric Supply Districts of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board and the Raetihi Borough Council

Pursuant to the Electricity Distribution Commission Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. MERGER OF DISTRICT

The licensed area of supply of the Raetihi Borough Council, as defined in an Order in Council dated 20 October 1965 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 28 October 1965, shall be merged for electrical purposes in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board.

  1. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF SUPPLY AUTHORITY

Pursuant to section 34 of the Electricity Distribution Commission Act 1967, the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board shall exercise all rights and undertake all obligations previously exercised by the Raetihi Borough Council in carrying on its electricity undertaking.

  1. REPRESENTATION

These provisions shall take effect on the 1st day of April 1969. Raetihi Borough and that part of Waimarino County formerly supplied by the Raetihi Borough Councilโ€™s electrical undertaking shall be a combined district of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board and shall elect one member to the Board.

The Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District Representation Order 1965 (New Zealand Gazette, 9 September 1965, p. 1499) is hereby amended by including in the Schedule thereto:

Constituent District Number of Representatives
Raetihi Borough 1
Part Waimarino County

The first representative of the combined district shall be appointed by the Raetihi Borough Council and shall hold office until the next general election of local body members.

  1. STAFF

The Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board will employ the persons hitherto employed in the Raetihi Borough Councilโ€™s electricity undertaking, consisting of a lines-overseer, an inspector-faultsman, and two linemen, at not less than the present rates of remuneration.


Consenting to Land Being Taken for a Service Lane in the Borough of Thames

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a service lane.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that piece of land containing 10 perches situated in Block IV, Thames Survey District, Borough of Thames, being part Lot 1, D.P. 25039; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 22618 (S.O. 44272) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
