At the Government House at Wellington this 22nd day of September 1969

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order shall come into force on 1 October 1969.

  2. The area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Southland and included in the City of Invercargill.

  3. The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said city, hereinbefore made, shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing 278 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of part Section 46, Block XIX, Invercargill Hundred, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the present boundary of the Invercargill City, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1969, p. 826, to its intersection with the centre line of Ferguson Street; thence south-easterly along the centre line of Ferguson Street to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Section 49, Block XIX, aforesaid; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of the said part Section 49 to its south-western corner; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern side of State Highway No. 1 to the point of commencement.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 175B (2) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests in the Manukau City Council, on and from the 1st day of August 1969, the land described in the Schedule hereto, as a public reserve, subject to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953.

  1. All that area of land being Allotment 344, Pakuranga Parish, situated in Block III, Otahuhu Survey District, containing an area of 2 roods 20 perches, as shown, edged red, on S.O. Plan 46240 now numbered M.D. 13514; reclaimed by authority of Order in Council of 26 February 1968*.

  2. All that area of land being Allotment 345, Pakuranga Parish, situated in Block III, Otahuhu Survey District, containing an area of 1 acre 3 roods 10 perches, as shown, edged red, on S.O. Plan 46241 now numbered M.D. 13514; reclaimed by authority of Order in Council of 26 February 1968*.

The district land registrar is hereby authorised to make such entries in his register as are necessary to give effect to this order.

Defining the Limits of the Wanganui Harbour Pilotage District

PURSUANT to section 211 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby define the limits of the Wanganui Harbour Pilotage District, within which pilots may act for the purposes of the said Act, to be that area described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 28th day of November 1959, defining* the limits of the Wanganui Harbour Pilotage District.

SCHEDULE

ALL the waters of the Wanganui River and Tasman Sea bounded by the line of mean high-water spring tides and having as its seaward limit the arc of a circle of 3 nautical miles radius centred at the flagstaff shown on plan S.O. 27145.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 12th day of September 1969.
