MANAWATU-OROUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
The Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board Electrical Development Loan 1969, $300,000
Pursuant to section 45 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) authorised to be raised by the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extension and improvement of the Board’s reticulation system, the said Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one-twentieth (1/20) of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board District, as defined in the Proclamation appearing in the Gazette, No. 40, 16 June 1955, pp. 963–964; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully repaid.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board held at Palmerston North on Monday, the 15th day of September 1969.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Upper Waikaka River Works Loan 1969—$42,500
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of $42,500 to be known as the Upper Waikaka River Works Loan 1969, authorised to be raised by the Southland Catchment Board for the purpose of improving the Upper Waikaka River, the said board hereby makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to a classification made for the purposes of such rate of the lands within that part of the Southland Catchment District defined in the Schedule hereto and to be known as the Upper Waikaka River Rating District, such special rate being as follows—
One hundred and eighty-eight cents (188.0c) per acre on lands classified as Class “A”:
One hundred and seventeen decimal five cents (117.5c) per acre on lands classified as Class “B”:
Forty-seven cents (47.0c) per acre on lands classified as Class “C”:
Twenty-three decimal five cents (23.5c) per acre on lands classified as Class “D”:
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the 31st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
SCHEDULE
Definition of the Upper Waikaka River Rating District
All the lands within the Southland Catchment District as defined in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 16, dated 20 March 1969, at page 545. Classification plans are deposited for inspection by the public during office hours at the offices of the board, 143 Spey Street, Invercargill.
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Southland Catchment Board on the 12th day of September 1969.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan No. 12, 1969—$83,500
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $83,500 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of Works Loan 1957—$114,000 and Amalgamated Area Street Works and Services Loan 1948—$174,000 (which will mature), the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two one of a cent (.021c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 26 August 1969.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
Review of Patangata County District Scheme
Public notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 20th day of August 1969, the Patangata County district scheme as already operative is under review, and the Council has recommended that the scheme, with the changes now incorporated therein, be approved.
The scheme as now recommended by the Council has been deposited in the Patangata County Offices, Waipukurau, the Otane Public Library, and the Centennial Memorial Library, Waipukurau, and is there open for inspection by all persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the proposed changes of the district scheme, or in respect of any portion of the operative district scheme which the Council proposes to confirm without any change, may be made by way of written notice, on form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the like effect, marked “Objection to district scheme”, and lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 5 p.m. on Monday, 10 November 1969.
At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk, in writing, within a period of which public notice will be given.
