ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROADING PURPOSES

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Rotorua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the widening and realignment of Kaharoa Road; and, for the purposes of such public work, the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the above Council, situated at the corner of Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands, who have any objections they may wish to make to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must set forth their objections, in writing, and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the county clerk at the Council Chambers, at the corner of Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua (the postal address of the County Clerk is P.O. Box 5028, Rotorua South).

If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage Redemption Loan No. 60, 1969, $1,022,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Authority has resolved to the following effect:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $1,022,000 authorised to be raised by the Auckland Regional Authority under the above-mentioned Acts for redeeming the unpaid balance of a loan raised by the former Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board in connection with its drainage and sewerage undertaking, which liability was taken over by the Auckland Regional Authority in terms of section 43 of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, plus the costs of raising such loan, the Auckland Regional Authority hereby makes a special rate of the several amounts in the dollar set out in the fourth column of the Schedule hereto on the rateable values set against such amounts respectively in the third column of such Schedule, of all rateable property of the local authorities listed in the first column of such Schedule and set out against such amounts and the rateable values respectively; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan which shall, at the lender's option, be for periods of 6, 10, and 20 years from 14 September 1969 or until the loan is fully paid off."

PI AKO COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1969β€”$200,000

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $200,000 authorised to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Piako County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought, nought, nought eight four of a dollar ($0.00084) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County of Piako, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Piako County Council held in the Administration Building and Council Chambers, 35 Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, on Monday, 8th day of September 1969.
